Every year on 15th August, India celebrates Independence Day. India became an independent country in the year 1947, thus a gazetted holiday is declared annually to commemorate this date. Each one of us is born free, dies free and wants to live free. India achieved its Independence with great struggle and effort. Several freedom fighters and many great men sacrificed their lives to achieve nation’s freedom from the grip of British rule. The movement of independence in India was started by the Indian freedom fighters under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi. These freedom fighters endured severe struggle in order to achieve the nation’s freedom. 15th August is celebrated with high enthusiasm in order to pay honour to our legendary freedom fighters, who sacrificed their lives for our motherland. Independence Day motivates us to love our country and be forever willing to sacrifice our lives for its honour and integrity.
On 15th August 1947, India got Independence from the British Rule after struggling for many decades. Celebrate this auspicious day with great happiness and vigor as we will celebrate 73th Independence Day of India which marks the end of struggle for freedom that came with a heavy price of lives of many countrymen. The
Pulwama terror attack occurred on February 14, 2019 when a 78-vehicle convoy
was escorting over 2,500 CRPF jawans from Jammu to Srinagar. At around 3:30 pm,
a Mahindra Scorpio SUV, packed with 350 kilograms of explosives rammed into one
of the buses belonging to the convoy on the National Highway 44 at Lethipora
near Avantipora town.
The surprise attack instantly blew up the bus, killing at least 40
personnel of the 76th Battalion while others continue to battle for their lives;
the injured were immediately moved to the army base hospital in Srinagar.
